A rumor posted on WebOS Arena that for the first sixty days Best Buy will be the exclusive retailer of the Palm Pre is spreading around the Internet. ZDNet's The Toy Box notes that Best Buy had a similar exclusive deal with Sprint when they launched the Samsung Instinct. The Palm Pre was a hit at the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) so there's a possibility we could see lines forming outside Best Buys if there is enough interest in the smartphone. Jim Suva, an analyst for Citigroup, thinks the Palm Pre will retail in the $199 to $249 range. He also predicts Palm could sell 1.5 million Palm Pres in the first 12 months.
