Miss Nebraska Teresa Scanlan Crowned Miss America 2011
Miss Nebraska Teresa Scanlan took the crown at the Miss America 2011 pageant. Teresa, 17, is the youngest Miss America ever. The event was held at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.
The first runner-up was Miss Arkansas Alyse Eady who earned a $25,000 scholarship. Second runner-up honors and a $20,000 scholarship were awarded to Miss Hawaii Jalee Fuselier.
