Plextor announced the PlexEasy External DVD/CD Burner at 2012 CES. The PlexEasy is a stand-alone optical storage device. It can connect directly to a computer using its USB port for backup. It can also be connected directly to cameras, smartphones, tablets, and camcorders for easy backup without the need for a computer. Users can also transfer videos, music, or other data from a device to a DVD/CD disc or from an SD card to an external storage device. Pricing for the PlexEasy has not yet been announced.
