Victoria Beckham Takes Her Turn as Armani Underwear Model
Victoria Beckham has followed in her husband's footsteps. These are a couple of the hot new Armani underwear ads featuring Victoria. The photographs for Armani's spring/summer 2009 advertising campaign were taken by fashion photographers Maert Alas and Marcus Piggot. Alas and Piggot also took David Beckham's underwear photographs for Armani. The ads will be appearing on large billboards in major cities as well as in magazines. A video advertisement is also planned. Plans for the ads were announced in October.
Armani says he chose Victoria because she is stylish and intriguing: "I chose Victoria Beckham to launch our new global Emporio Armani Women's Underwear campaign because she is a stylish and intriguing woman. Great underwear is alluring and provocative, and so I wanted to work with someone who would make a real impression. I'm sure Victoria's presence will generate great excitement."
Armani underwear sales boomed from Posh's husband David Beckham's sexy ads so they are hoping they will get a similar result with Victoria's black and white provocative ads. We will see if Posh can help lightning strike twice for Armani.
