There's a lot of buzz about a gadget called Peek. Peek focuses on doing one thing very well. Peek's main function is just to let people send email. It supports the most popular email providers including Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail and AOL as well as many others. Peek also works with all POP3 email servers. You can read a FAQ here. Peek also recently added texting which should make it of interest to people who like to Twitter and text with friends, family and coworkers.
Wall Street Journal's gadget reviewer Walter Mossberg says Peek's eight megabytes of usable memor can hold about 5,000 email messages. Peek also sent a peek device to Walter Mossberg's mother who "got the hang of Peek almost instantly and found it both helpful and relatively easy to use."
David Pogue at the New York Timescalls Peek a device for nontechies. Peek made Wired's Wish List Gear of the Year feature and it's one of Time's best inventions of 2008. (via Buzzfeed)
Peek is currently available in three different colors black, aqua and red.
Peek can be purchased for $79.95 here on the Peek website or at Target - see here. There's also a monthly $19.95 fee to use Peek but no annual contracts to sign.
