Video: Michelle Obama Accepts White House Christmas Tree
First lady Michelle Obama and her daughters Malia and Sasha were on hand to receive the official White House Christmas tree today. The 18-1/2-foo Douglas fir tree was delivered from a farm in West Virgina by the traditional horse-drawn carriage.
Driver Scott Harmon wore traditional garb, including a top hat and coachman's cape. The Belgian draft horses wore red ribbons and bows. Michelle wore simple black slacks, a plaid shirt, a red cardigan sweater and red leather belt. The growers,
Eric and Gloria Sundback, were invited into the White House for cider and Christmas cookies. The tree will be decorated by volunteers and will be featured in the White House during the holiday season. Take a look:
