Joy Behar talks to Dr. Oz about things people can do to sleep better. Dr. Oz says that sleep is a barometer
of your emotional health.
He says you don't fall asleep,
you glide into sleep, but modern
life doesn't allow that to happen.
Your body doesn't get the cues
to fall asleep naturally, because
you turn off the lights instantaneously
with the flick of a switch.
Dr. Oz says use orange light bulbs
in your bedroom. This light mimics
the sunset's orange rays and will
trigger melantonin production.
When you wake up, you want bright
white light. He says to take
1/2 to 1 milligram
of melatonin at least two hours
before bedtime. He says avoid
caffeine after 12:00 p.m. Take a look:
