Matt Lauer talks to Tightwad Tod from Consumer Reports about how to get the most out of all the Black Friday deals that are being offered. Consumers can get great deals if they do their homework beforehand and are willing to get up early. But there are some retail practices to be wary of, such as derivative products that are cheap but may not have all the features you want. Consumer Reports advises that customers be wary and try not to get caught up in the emotion of the moment. The magazine says bundling is not usually a good deal because the price breaks are minimal and the second product (like a Blu-Ray DVD player with a flat screen TV) may not be exactly what you're looking for.
