Many U.S. cities have snowfall totals far below average this year. Cordova, Alaska has the opposite problem. Cordova has received 15 feet of snow. There is so much snow that the National Guard is helping shovel out homes and businesses. Recently, the city has received rain that has made the snow even heavier and more difficult to move. The Coast Guard is trying to help save the city's harbor. There is so much snow on the boats they could sink. A Reutersreport says some boats have already sank. Take a look:
