Apple's Latest iOS Update Doesn't Resolve All iPhone Battery Problems
Apple recently issued an iOS 5.0.1 update to solve the battery problems on the iPhone 4S. Unfortunately, the update did not fix the battery problems for everyone. Apple acknowledged that there are still tweaks needed to fix the battery problem. Apple issued a short statement to AllThingsD: "The recent iOS software update addressed many of the battery issues that some customers experienced on their iOS 5 devices. We continue to investigate a few remaining issues."
GigaOm reports that the update may also have created some new problems for iPhone 4S users. GigaOm says some users still have battery-related problems and some users that never had any battery issues are now having battery trouble. Other reported problems include microphone failures and Wi-Fi signal loss.
