Taylor Swift's Album Breaks One Million Mark in Debut Week
Billboardreports that Taylor Swift sold over one million ocpies of her new album, Speak Now in a week. Taylor's album sold 1,047,000 million units making it the bestselling album since 50 Cent's The Massacre sold 1,141,000 copies during its debut week in March, 2005. Taylor's sales could give the ailing music industry some hope. Her album was the first to break the one million sales in a week mark since 2008.
Taylor's album was followed by Sugarland's The Incredible Machine, which sold 89,000 copies. Come Around Sundown from Kings of Leon was third and sold 67,000 units. Kings of Leon wasfollowed by Lil Wayne and Eminem. You can find the complete Billboard 200 chart here.
