Celebrities Remember Fall of the Berlin Wall, Infamous Hasselhoff Performance
Celebrations have been ongoing to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. Tom Hanks remembers where he was when it came down and how shocked he was that it happened at all. Most celebrities asked did remember where they were, except for Quentin Tarantino. But he, like so many others, has vivid memories of David Hasselhoff's performance that night. The Hoff got permission from the German government to stand on the wall and sing about freedom. That seems to have stuck in everyone's minds. Take a look:
We had totally forgotten about the legendary Hasslehoff Wall Performance. He was wearing a jacket which featured moving Christmas lights and a piano key scarf. Some idiot fan shot off a firework halfway through the song which would have hit him if he hadn't been leaning forward with the emotion of the moment. It's a classic Hasselhoff moment. Take a look:
