Taylor Jacobson Leaves Rachel Zoe

Taylor Jacobson has officially left the employ of Rachel Zoe, Inc. Fashionista broke the story, in which Taylor claims she left voluntarily:
Her loyal, often sullen, but always, always hard-working styling associate Taylor Jacobson is finally leaving Rachel Zoe Inc. We've kind of seen this coming for a while, but the season ender showed Taylor getting a new role (well, sort of) handling aspects of RZ's growing merchandise business.

But we guess things didn't get any better. In an email to contacts today, Taylor said: "After four amazing years at Rachel Zoe Corporation, I'm saddened and exhilarated at the same time to announce my departure. After much thought and consideration, I have decided to take the challenging leap to go off and style on my own."
Taylor posted this on her Twitter account yesterday afternoon: "Today is an end of an era and a beginning of a new professional chapter. Looking forward to what the future brings...!!!"

Neither Rachel nor Brad has tweeted about it since it happened. People magazine reports that Taylor was fired suddenly, which makes a lot more sense to us than Taylor just quitting with no notice.

We would have fired her a year ago: she has one of the worst attitudes of any employee we've ever seen. Rachel's rep Carrie Gordon would only say this to People: "Taylor Jacobson is no longer with Rachel Zoe, Inc." That definitely sounds like Taylor was fired, but that the company is not going to say anything bad about her publicly. If it had been amicable, there would have been a transition period and a joint statement.

This means that Brad has to bring his A-game for the upcoming awards season. We feel sure he's up to the challenge: we just love him. It also means that Rachel may be looking for a new assistant. Aspiring stylists, get those resumes ready!

We just love The Rachel Zoe Project, and hope Bravo renews it for a third season. Rachel's business brings plenty of tension and drama to the show. There was no need for Taylor's continual griping, which was just annoying.
