American ballet dancer David Hallberg is the first foreigner asked to join the prestigious
Bolshoi Ballet. It is an amazing accomplishment. David toldThe New York Times, "Personally, I feel a sense of responsibility as an American.... I will be bringing something different to the company, but I will also be respecting their traditions as well." He said he was very proud to have been asked to join such a celebrated ballet, and he intends that he knows people will be watching.
David will debut in a performance of Giselle tomorrow night in Moscow. The AP reports:
