Cascadian Farms Says Hiding People Faces in Packaging is a Tradition
The bloggers at the Bread and Honey blog who first reported the faces in the packaging of Cascadian Farm Gourmet Organic Broccoli Florets have now received a response from the Cascadian Farm company about the unusual artwork. Here is an excerpt from the letter which says that a tradition of hiding names and faces on Cascadian Farm packaging began over 12 years ago. Apparently, it's a tradition that is going to be ending beacuse the letter also says that the little faces won't be included in new redesigned packaging.
The tradition of hiding names or faces on Cascadian Farm packaging began over a dozen years ago. It was unspoken tribute by the package design department to the friends & family of Cascadian Farm. The faces won't be included on our redesigned packaging.
What? They do something weird but entirely unique and interesting and as soon as people catch on to it they are phasing it out? That's too bad. Bread and Honey also found more people faces on Cascadian Farm jam packages. Check it out here.
