Vizio Enters PC Market With Line of All-in-One PCs and Laptops
Vizio, a tech company known for its HDTVs, is entering the PC market with some sleek looking all-in-one PCs and laptops. Vizio will launch five computers in spring 2012 that all run Windows 7. The PCs will include 24-inch and 27-inch all-in-one PCs, 14-inch and 15.6-inch thin laptops and a 15.6-inch laptop. Specs and pricing for the devices are have not yet been announced.
Matt McRae, Chief Technology Officer, says, "PCs are often associated with productivity and the workplace, routinely lacking the excitement that would be expected with what and how consumers want to use their PCs today - as an extension of their entertainment experience. Vizio wanted to change that. Our new line of Vizio PCs are truly high quality and consumer focused, delivering enhanced multimedia capabilities while upholding our high standards of performance, style and design."
