Casio Unveils Tryx Camera at CES

Casio Tryx

Casio unveiled its new camera called Tryx at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES). What is unique about Tryx is its variable frame design which enables photographers to maneuver the camera into numerous positions. Users can hold the camera horizontally, in a traditional point-and-shoot style, or flip out the rotating, three-inch, touch-screen LCD and swivel the body to experience countless other positions. The frame rotates 360-degrees and can be adjusted so that the body can act as a tripod. The LCD screen on Tryx can also be rotated up to 270-degrees so that users can take their own self portrait and see themselves in the frame. The body can also rotate, which makes it easy to hang the camera rom a hook, doorknob or other surface.

Some of Tryx specs include 21mm ultra-wide angle lens, 12 megapixel back-illuminated CMOS Sensor, HDMI Output, Full HD 1080 Movie Capture (H.264), slow-motion video and slide panorama shooting.

Here are some videos of Tryx being being used in different positions by editors from Consumer Reports and CNET. Take a look:
