Iconix Brand Group announced it has signed an agreement to acquire The Sharper Image brand and intellectual property assets for approximately $65.6 million in cash from a joint venture led by Hilco Consumer Capital, Gordon Brothers Group and Bluestar Alliance.
Sharper Image creates gadgets, home products, kitchen tools, travel products and personal care products. Sharper Image products are sold nationwide at department and specialty stores and through the sharperimage.com website. Shaper Image has not had any physical stores since they were closed and liquidated in 2008.
Sharper Image will join Iconix's fashion brands, which include Candie's, Badgley Mischka, Rampage, London Fog, Op and Rocawear.
