Amenemhat II Statue Installed at Met Museum's Great Hall
This video shows a monumental statue of the Egyptian pharaoh Amenemhat II (ca. 1919--1885 B.C.) being installed in the Met's Great Hall. The colossal statue of Amenemhat II is on special loan from the collection of the Ägyptisches Museum und Papyrussammlung, Staatliche Museen zu Berlin -- Preussischer Kulturbesitz. The statue will remain in the Great Hall for one year and will be on loan to the Met for ten years. Take a look:
