Olympic Hopeful Kevin Pearce Undergoes Surgery After Head Injury

Snowboarder and potential U.S. Olympic team member Kevin Pearce sustained a head injury while training on the halfpipe and was airlifted to the University of Utah hospital for surgery to remove swelling in his brain. He is listed as being in critical but stable condition as of this morning. The hospital hasn't released any details beyond that. Kevin is an amazing snowboarder who bested Shaun White at the Burton European Open in 2008 and 2009. We wish Kevin a full and speedy recovery. Take a look:
