Balloon Boy Falcon Heene Tells Wolf Blitzer We Did This For a Show
Wolf Blitzer's interview with Ballon Boy Falcon Heene has many wondering if the balloon incident was a hoax. Falcon said that he heard his parents calling for him when he was hiding. When Falcon's father asked Falcon, "Why didn't you come out?," Falcon replied, "We did this for a show." Take a look:
A Fox Newsarticle says Falcon Heene's father, Richard Heene, took the boys on potentially dangerous tornado chasing trips. The Fox News article also says Richard Heene makes lots of videos for YouTube including a Fake a Real series that investigates whether things like the Loch Ness monster or Britney's Spears' breasts are fake or real. Richard Heene also had the boys make an odd rap video, see here. The family was also on the ABC reality show Wife Swap. Richard Heene's interest in video fame and reality tv combined with Falcon's "we did this for a show" comment has some wondering if the balloon incident was a publicity stunt. Hopefully, it was not.
