Asus is challenging Apple's MacBook Air with its new ultra thin line of laptops, called ZenBooks. The line includes two models, the 11.6-inch UX21 and the 13-inch UX31. The models are very lightweight. The UX21 weighs just 2.43 pounds and the UX31 weighs 2.84 pounds. Wiredreports that the ZenBook is thinner than the MacBook Air.
The ZenBooks are powered by Intel Core i5 and i7 processors. Features include 4GB RAM, 128GB and 256GB hard drives, Bluetooth, USB 3.0 and Bang and Olufsen speakers. The UX21 costs $999 and the UX31 costs $1,099. You can view a spec sheet for the laptops here.
