Video: Helen Mirren Reveals She Based Reds Assassin Character on Martha Stewart
Helen Mirren stars in the new action film Red, which stands for Retired Extremely Dangerous. Helen plays a retired CIA operative who must get back into business when she and her cohorts (Bruce Willis, John Malkovich and Morgan Freeman) can't quite give up her old live. Helen said she based her character on Martha Stewart, including her hairstyle.
She says she used Martha's gracious intelligence and her steely determination to bring out the character. We hope Martha is pleased: we think Helen's character looks amazing in the film. Co-stars Bruce Willis and Mary-Louise Parker say that Helen would make a great spy. Take a look:
