Taylor Swift's New Song Rumored to be Apology to Taylor Lautner
Taylor Swift's song "Back to December" is reportedly meant as an apology to Taylor Lautner. Taylor said in a recorded video that "Back to December" is an apology to someone she hurt. Taylor says, "Whether it be good or bad or an apology, the person I wrote this song about deserves this. This is about a person who was incredible to me, just perfect to me in a relationship, and I was really careless with him."
The lyrics to "Back to December" say that "You gave me roses and I left them there to die." She also apologizes for "that night" and wishes she could have it do over.
So this is me swallowing my pride,
Standing in front of you saying I'm sorry for that night,
And I go back to December all the time.
Turns out freedom ain't nothing but missing you,
Wishing that I realized what I had when you were mine.
I'd go back to December, turn around and make it all right.
I go back to December all the time.
Taylor also says she would love the guy right she is apologizing to (presumably Lautner) if she had a second chance. The lyrics say, "Maybe this is wishful thinking, Probably mindless dreaming. If we loved again I swear I'd love you right."
You can hear the song here. Here is Taylor's video about what the song means. She never specifically mentions Taylor Lautner. We have to wonder what Lautner thinks about Taylor's new song. Take a look:
