President Obama has won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize. President Obama said, "To be honest, I do not feel that I deserve to be in the company of so many of the transformative figures who've been honored by this prize. I do not view it as a recognition of my own accomplishments but rather as an affirmation of American leadership on behalf of aspirations held by people in all nations."
Former vice president Al Gore says President Barack Obama's Nobel Peace Prize win "extremely well deserved and an honor for the country." However, there are many that think President Obama's win is premature because he doesn't yet have any accomplishments when it comes to making peace.
