Video: Kanye West Sings Power on SNL, Changes Lyrics for Show

Kanye West was the musical guest on Saturday Night Live last night and he shook things up. The traditional stage was covered in white, so it looked totally different. There was another difference: he changed the lyris to the song, which originally dissed SNL for making fun of him after the Taylor Swift debacle. The original lyrics were "F--- 'SNL' and the whole cast... Tell 'em Yeezy said they can kiss my whole a--." But apparently all has been forgiven. Instead, he sang "The brown hero, live from Ground Zero/Machine gun flow, made her get a Ross Perot/And this is disestablishmentarianism / With my night goggles on, got military vision And it's still a very Christian way to think about livin'/ When you prayin' for freedom ’cause your mind been in prison/'Cause they tryin' to control every single big decision."

Kanye opened wearing a red silk suit and a gold laurel wreath of the typed favored by the God-Emperors of Ancient Rome. He did take it off during the song, presumably to demonstrate that no one should have that kind of power. He pretty much killed it. Take a look:
