Nearly 1 in 5 U.S. Households Have a Blu-ray Player
Home Media Magazinereports that the number of U.S. households with a Blu-ray player has doubled since 2008. In July, the number of U.S. households with at least one Blu-ray disc player reached 17%. Home Media notes that just exceeds the penetration of Netflix, which is 15%. The number of U.S. households with DVD players is 95%.
The number of households with Blu-ray players is likely to jump over the holidays. Blu-ray players are predicted dip as low as $45 on Black Friday.
