Ben Affleck picked up yet another major award:
he won the Directors Guild of America Award for Argo.
Argo is nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars,
but Ben was snubbed for Best
Director. In his acceptance speech he talked about
times in his life when he felt really down and why
he decided to try directing. He thanked his wife
Jennifer Garner. Ben beat out some very heavy competition: Steven Spielberg (Lincoln)
Ang Lee (Life of Pi), Kathryn Bigelow (Zero Dark Thirty)
and Tom Hooper (Les Miserables.
