Anthony Bourdain Takes Anderson Cooper to Dinner at Yakitori Totto

Posted on April 13, 2013

Anthony Bourdain has a new show on CNN 9 pm Eastern time called Parts Unknown, which debuts tomorrow night. Tony's first show focuses on Myanmar. Tony and Anderson Cooper, the world's pickiest eater, went out to dinner at the Japanese restaurant, Yakitori Totto in New York City to chat about the show. Tony says the show is not that ambitious. He wants to travel the world on his stomach, looking at the world from the point of view of someone who cooked for 30 years for a living. He's interested in who's cooking what, and why they cook it.

Anderson says when he travels for work he hates to eat because he might get sick and it could affect his reporting. Tony joked that the word is on the street that Anderson hates food. He agrees that he does and would drink a shake every meal if he could. Tony tells Anderson that people are telling a story when they make you food and if you reject it, you are rejecting them. Anderson manages to nibble on chicken knuckle yakatori with the skin on which looks pretty chewy, we have to say. "They do tongue here really well," Bourdain encourages Anderson, to no avail. It's pretty funny. Take a look:
