Angelina Jolie Talks Brad's Movies in Oscars Red Carpet Interview
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were so late to the Academy Awards last night that they split up on the red carpet to do more interviews in the very short time left before the show started. E!'s lead correspondent Ryan Seacrest had disappeared from the red carpet after Sacha Baron Cohen dumped a jar full of the "ashes" of dead North Korean dictator Kim Jong-il all over his tuxedo. So when Angelina finally arrived, E! pulled in a rookie who couldn't do a decent red carpet interview if Brian Grazer himself produced it.
This guy started firing questions at Angelina, such as "Do you remember the first movie you ever saw with Brad Pitt in it?" Angie thought a minute and said "no," which is really funny. She rallied, though, by volunteering which of his films are her favorites (Seven and Fight Club, both directed by David Fincher). But he didn't stop there. It was Brad, Brad, Brad. Not one question about being a first time director or a discussion of her own Oscar moment or if she is writing a new movie -- nada. Just the same old question about whether her kids watch her get dressed. Yawn. Finally, she'd had enough of his nonsense and got away. Why didn't they go find Ross? He's interviewed her before and did just fine. We think she was more than gracious. She should have skipped E! and talked to Tim Gunn over at ABC, like Brad did. Take a look:
