Amy Adams, Angie Harmon and Molly Sims Attend Opening of New Carolina Herrera Boutique

Posted on June 29, 2013

Amy Adams, Angie Harmon, Molly Sims and Rashida Jones were just some of the celebrities that showed up to celebrate the opening of designer Carolina Herrera's 99th store. This Rodeo Drive store is for her lesser priced line, CH Carolina Herrera.

The Hollywood Reporter spoke with the designer at the opening. Never shy, Carolina had plenty to say about color for spring, the shoe trend she hates and how she ignores trends. Carolina says she likes to alternate basic black, which is more of an East Coast thing, with lots of color, which is more suited to Southern California.

She says that she despises the super high heel trend, that the shoes are ugly and no one can pose in them properly: "Some of these crazy trends are so ephemeral -- those crazy sky-high shoes now with all the colors and things on them. I hate those crazy shoes! If they are not on very thin legs, they look awful -- and almost no one can walk in them. Even the actresses don't know how to pose in them."

In this video by the AP long time customer Amy Adams talks about how much she loves Herrera's designs. Amy says her first Oscars dress was by the designer. She also revealed that Herrera's team made her maternity wardrobe. Take a look:
