Alicia Keys posted this photo of herself backstage at the Super Bowl just before her performance of the national anthem. Alicia said, "Almost ready to sing at the @Superbowl! Is this football appropriate? Heels are my version of cleats! ;)" She looked fabulous in a red Azzedine Alaia gown and chic, short hair.
Alicia sang live, accompanying herself on the piano. She had promised a different version of The Star Spangled Banner and she delivered. She sang a mellow, almost jazzy version of the song that fit with New Orleans. You can see her performance
