album, which sold 3.11 million copies. No other albums came close to the big sales generated by 21
. One Direction's Up All Night
sold 1.62 million copies and finished in third.
The number one bestselling digital song this year was Gotye's "Somebody That I Used to Know," which sold 6.80 million copies. It was followed very closely by Carly Rae's Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe," which had 6.47 million paid downloads.
