Abigail Spencer Talks Rectify on Today Show

Actress Abigail Spencer stopped by Today to talk aboutRectify, a new original series on the Sundance Channel. The series follows a man who is exonerated after spending 19 years in prison for rape and murder.

The man returns to his small hometown of Paulie, Georgia to try and restart his life. Abigail plays the man's sister. She says it is the writing that drew her to the show.

Kathie Lee also told a story about how she helped get Abigail an audition for All My Children. Abigail also stayed with Kathie Lee for a while when she was first starting out as an actress and ate all her salsa. Abigail says Kathie Lee is like her "fairy godmother." Take a look:
